Frequently Asked Questions

My car already has a manufacturer’s warranty, why do I need the Tire-Gard® Road Hazard Warranty?
The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover damage to your tires due to road hazards. The Tire-Gard® Road Hazard Warranty will ensure that your tires will be replaced or repaired when damaged by road hazards.

What do I do when I have a flat tire?

Return to your Selling Dealer and your tires will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you.

Do I have to pay any fees or charges?
No. All costs to repair or replace your tires are fully covered

How many times can we repair or replace a damaged tire?
You are allowed to repair/replace your tire as many times as your maximum aggregate allows.

Will Nitrogen affect the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on my vehicle?
No. Nitrogen will help maintain proper inflation in your tires and reduce the number of faults detected by the TPMS.

Is Nitrogen explosive or a hazard?
No. Nitrogen is a safe, non-combustible, non-flammable, non-corrosive gas.

Do I still need to check my tire pressure?
Yes. Transport Canada advises to check your tires once a month, especially before you head out on a long trip.

Can I add regular air to my tires when nitrogen isn’t readily available?
Yes. Nitrogen can be mixed with compressed air if required. However, to maintain the safety and benefits of nitrogen, return to your Selling Dealer at your earliest convenience and have them purge and refill the tire with nitrogen.
